It is never too early to start planning your exit route, indeed the day wil inevitably come when you no longer wish, or are no longer able, to be in control of your business. The way in which you ultimately wish to hand-over your business should affect how you run it today.
There are a number of exit options available including passing on the business to the next generation, selling it, or flotation.
